Tomacco are unlike any retro throwback band you could conjure. “Shake It” proves you don’t have to be old to be wise about your influences. The mix of guitar riffs, phasers, and quasi-harpsichord synths will do a lot more than just get your toe tapping.

What we like is the earthy, unabashed rock and roll production of their music.

Tomacco has built a unique sound for themselves on their latest release. From the psychedelic, ‘60s pop of “You’re So Sweet” to the ‘70s rock crunch of “Shady Nasty”, Tomacco demonstrate again and again how tight of a band they are as they push stylistic boundaries along with the expectations of their listeners.

Their latest single “Mister Twister” shows off all their goods. The rhythm keeps the funk goin’ while the keys add a psychedelic tone to the track. It has an early 90’s vibe that makes me think Tomacco would fit in on the same bill as Blood Sugar Sex Magik era Chili Peppers and Ugly Kid Joe perhaps.
